Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) helps you deal with and better manage problems, strong emotions, fears and everyday challenges by changing the way you think, and as a result, your feelings and behavior.

CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts and beliefs are the source of your actions and feelings.

 

Negative beliefs and thoughts about yourself can keep you trapped in a vicious cycle.

The goal of CBT is to develop an understanding of one's own thoughts and feelings in order to uncover and change distressing behaviors, feelings, and thoughts.
